Sullivan Construction has been doing kitchen, bathroom and home remodeling in the bay area for the past 25 years. As a first-time home buyer, it is difficult to plan, much less budget, for big home improvements. You know what you'd like, but the cost and disruption is a lot to consider on top of those "new" mortgage payments you never had before. A little over a year ago, and a bit earlier than I had planned, I had an opportunity to work with Keith on the remodel of my kitchen. As a Project Manager for a construction company, I've worked with many skilled trades people including custom cabinet builders and designers. Yet in all my interactions with cabinet builders, I have never seen or received the passion and dedication as I received from Keith and Sequoia Cabinet. He asked what I liked and didn't like about my existing kitchen, talked about layout and functionality, gave ideas and suggestions, then with an uncanny expertise, he drew it out. I received a hand-drawn layout with dimensions (often unheard of with custom cabinet builders) and two different 3-D views of how my kitchen would look based on what we discussed. To see what my kitchen looked like before construction began was a huge plus and took away the surprise factor. My customer experience was hands-on, comfortable, and always about me. It was never over-sold or over-promised. In fact, his suggested extra touches added to the overall warmth and design of my kitchen. I'm very pleased to have had his experience running this part of my remodel. I must say that even with all the positive interactions BEFORE the sale, the one area that stands out the most is the AFTER sale customer follow up. My order was checked for accuracy and quality, the installation was critiqued and corrected as needed and the follow up, like in the beginning, was all about me. Was I satisfied? Was I happy? Did the drawers fully extend, were there any glitches, and was the stain consistent? Did I have any questions or concerns? And, the few minor door adjustments I needed were personally taken care of. Many businesses claim they are all about Customer Service and simply fall short. I recently remodeled my kitchen and had the opportunity to work with Keith from Sequoia Cabinet. We were very pleased with his suggestions, service and products. Every detail of the kitchen and cabinetry were made very clear to me, which was very important as I was going to install the cabinetry myself. I had little to no problem installing the cabinets and followed the detail drawings that Keith had given me. All aspects of the kitchen remodel came together very well, and the finished kitchen looks great.
